The Wider brand and shipyard in Ancona has been acquired by Monaco-based group Nautical Hybrid Tech, headed up by Marcello Maggi, in partnership with Zepter Group and Hopafi Holding Srl.Photo: Justin RatcliffeSpearheaded by Maggi, the initiative means the co-founder of ISA (International Shipyard Ancona) will once again be building superyachts in his hometown in Italy, although as Wider President and Sales & Marketing Director he will continue to be based in Monaco.

Hopafi Holding is the investment vehicle of the Giovannetti family. It controls two publicly listed companies in Italy and eastern Europe, as well as interests in companies related to energy and sustainability such as Fintel Energy Group.
